Commentary for I Kings 7:35

וּבְרֹ֣אשׁ הַמְּכוֹנָ֗ה חֲצִ֧י הָאַמָּ֛ה קוֹמָ֖ה עָגֹ֣ל ׀ סָבִ֑יב וְעַ֨ל רֹ֤אשׁ הַמְּכֹנָה֙ יְדֹתֶ֔יהָ וּמִסְגְּרֹתֶ֖יהָ מִמֶּֽנָּה׃

And in the top of the base was there a round compass of half a cubit high; and on the top of the base the stays thereof and the borders thereof were of one piece therewith.

Half an amoh high circular. This is the partition, as I explained above,55Above v. 31. which was around the opening and the [uppermost] amoh [of the crown] was square.
